It is Wednesday mid-afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving and the on-slot of 20 friends and relatives for the big day and our lights flicker, the fridge stops dispensing water and ice, the stereo sounds like my stomach after a hot dog with chili from the state fair. OMW, we are totally screwed. Oven won't work, lights are out in half the house and the heater won't heat.
No idea what it is and after a quick call to Russ Electric where I explained our condition, no real answers but suspicions that it is not in house but an Oncor delivery issue. Time is of the essence and I decided to cover my bases by calling Oncor and having the guys from Russ come by. Could not afford to risk anything. These guys were at my home in 15 minutes and took control. Their ability to diagnose and assess the problem was impressive.
Yup, after checking everything out to the n'th degree, it was determined we lost one leg of our power to the house. It was an Oncor problem and we have already called Oncor. Took about 4 hours for them to correct the problem however, due to Russ Electric and their promptness and ability to isolate the problem, our Thanksgiving was perfect.
